Scale model scales show how much smaller a model is than the real object. For example, a 1:32 model is 32 times smaller than the full-size original. The smaller the second number, the larger the finished model.

Common scales included:

1:32 – Slot cars, model farming and Gauge 1 railways

1:35 – Military figures, vehicles and dioramas
